From 'Mexico The Cookbook' by Margarita Carrillo Arronte

Grasshopper Tacos The key ingredient in these tacos could literally jump out at you! These Chapuline grasshoppers are commonly eaten in Mexico, but I wouldn't recommend tryign to catch the grasshoppers in your garden:

Ingredients: Recipe:
  1. Heat a heavy frying pan over medium heat, then brush with a little oil. Add the grasshoppers and cook lightly for 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle with lime juice.
  2. Warm the tortillas in the grill for 1 minute, then remove and spread with the guacamole.
  3. Add the grasshoppers and pipian sauce to taste over the top.
  4. Transfer to a plate and serve.
