About Katya: Katya’s passion for Mexican food has infused every part of her life and dynamic entrepreneurial career, leading her to take ownership of Mexgrocer.co.uk in 2009. Her mission is to share her passion for her Mexican heritage, inspiring families, foodies, restaurateurs and chefs across Europe to embrace and celebrate the culture and cuisine of Mexico every day. Katya is a hands-on CEO, overseeing all aspects of the company from dealing with suppliers around the world, to pricing, customer engagement and franchising. Katya is constantly looking to innovate the Mexgrocer customer experience, through the sourcing of new and inspiring products. 
 

Prior to Mexgrocer, Katya has enjoyed a successful career. In 2004, she co-founded and co-owned Mestizo, an authentic Mexican restaurant with locations in both London and Madrid. Prior to that, she held the top job at CSG Financial Consultancy, and she also owned and ran the elite Mexican restaurant, Barra Vieja, in Mexico City.
 

Katya gained her business degree in 1998 at Universidad La Salle in Mexico City, and went on to obtain a masters in finance at UNAM (The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) in 2002.
 

Katya has been award winner by the Mexican Chamber of Commerce. Award winner "Business personality of the year 2014" by LUKAS

Sobre Katya: La pasión de Katya por la comida mexicana ha impregnado cada parte de su vida y su dinámica carrera empresarial, llevándola a convertirse en propietaria de Mexgrocer.co.uk en 2009. Su misión es compartir su amor por la herencia mexicana, inspirando a familias, amantes de la gastronomía, restauradores y chefs en toda Europa a abrazar y celebrar la cultura y la cocina de México cada día. Katya es una directora general muy implicada, supervisando todos los aspectos de la empresa, desde el trato con proveedores internacionales hasta la fijación de precios, la atención al cliente y las franquicias. Siempre está en busca de nuevos e inspiradores productos para seguir innovando la experiencia del cliente en MexGrocer.

Antes de MexGrocer, Katya tuvo una exitosa carrera. En 2004, cofundó y fue copropietaria de Mestizo, un restaurante mexicano auténtico con sedes en Londres y Madrid. Previamente, ocupó el cargo más alto en CSG Financial Consultancy, y también fue propietaria y directora del restaurante de alta gama Barra Vieja en Ciudad de México.

Katya obtuvo su licenciatura en administración de empresas en 1998 en la Universidad La Salle en Ciudad de México, y más tarde obtuvo una maestría en finanzas en la UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) en 2002.

Ha sido reconocida por la Cámara de Comercio Mexicana y fue galardonada como "Personalidad Empresarial del Año 2014" por los premios LUKAS.

Eduardo Gomez Resendiz

Originally from Mexico City, Eduardo has dedicated his time promoting the food, music, culture and spirits of Mexico in UK.  
 

Eduardo worked for the Mexican Embassy before he began his exciting career in the alcohol beverage industry in 2004 as the UK Brand Manager for Mexican beer Corona. During this time, he was part of a small team who saw the Corona Extra brand grow by 1539% over 8 years.

He started passionately driving the mezcal and tequila category in the UK when he joined Amathus Drinks in 2011 as Brand Sales & Marketing Manager with a focus on growing its portfolio of artisanal and premium Mezcal and 100% agave Tequila. Amathus Drinks went to be the largest importer of Artisanal Mezcal in the UK and Europe and 3^rd largest in the world.

Eduardo founded the first ever Tequila and Mezcal Fest in the UK which is now the largest festival of Mexican spirits in Europe. Alongside his passion of Mexican beverages, he is also passionate about Mexican food, he is now Partner and Sales Director at Mexgrocer.co.uk the largest online shop of authentic Mexican food.

Mexgrocer is an importer and distributor of authentic Mexican food, working directly with farmers and producers in Mexico to stock the best products of leading Mexican brands. Many of the best-selling products that are stocked by Mexgrocer are exclusive and cannot be bought anywhere else in the UK and Europe. He has appeared twice on Channels 4´s “Sunday Brunch” TV program as the tequila expert, sharing his love and passion for Mexico with the UK.

Eduardo trabajó para la Embajada de México antes de comenzar su emocionante carrera en la industria de bebidas alcohólicas en 2004, como Brand Manager en Reino Unido de la cerveza mexicana Corona. Durante ese tiempo, formó parte de un pequeño equipo que logró un crecimiento del 1539% en la marca Corona Extra en solo 8 años.
 

En 2011, se unió a Amathus Drinks como Gerente de Marca y Marketing de Ventas, donde comenzó a impulsar con pasión la categoría de mezcal y tequila en el Reino Unido, enfocándose en expandir su portafolio de mezcales artesanales y tequilas 100% agave. Amathus Drinks se convirtió en el mayor importador de mezcal artesanal en Reino Unido y Europa, y el tercero más grande del mundo.
 

Eduardo fundó el primer Tequila and Mezcal Fest en el Reino Unido, que hoy en día es el festival de bebidas mexicanas más grande de Europa. Además de su pasión por las bebidas mexicanas, también es un gran amante de la gastronomía mexicana. Actualmente es socio y director de ventas de Mexgrocer.co.uk, la tienda online más grande de comida mexicana auténtica en Europa.
 

MexGrocer es un importador y distribuidor de productos mexicanos auténticos, trabajando directamente con agricultores y productores en México para ofrecer los mejores productos de marcas líderes. Muchos de los productos más vendidos de MexGrocer son exclusivos y no se pueden conseguir en ningún otro lugar del Reino Unido o Europa.
 

Eduardo ha aparecido dos veces como experto en tequila en el programa de televisión “Sunday Brunch” del canal Channel 4, compartiendo su amor y pasión por México con el público británico.

Mario Galindo BA (Hons) 

General Manager

Mario joined Mexgrocer in early 2010, shortly after Katya took over the company, and at a time when he was still juggling his work with the completion of his degree in Public Services at Anglia Ruskin University.
 

Mario is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the company, managing the operations team, while also maintaining regular communications with suppliers and clients. He also takes charge of the implementation and project management of all new initiatives and partner relationships for Mexgrocer. 
 

He has a broad working knowledge and experience that includes retail, sales and operations, as well as leisure & entertainment. Mario was born in Mexico and he has lived in the UK since 1989.

Mario se unió a MexGrocer a principios de 2010, poco después de que Katya asumiera la dirección de la empresa, en un momento en el que aún compaginaba su trabajo con los estudios de su carrera en Servicios Públicos en la Universidad Anglia Ruskin.
 

Mario es responsable del buen funcionamiento diario de la empresa, gestionando al equipo de operaciones y manteniendo una comunicación constante con proveedores y clientes. También se encarga de la implementación y gestión de proyectos para todas las nuevas iniciativas y relaciones con socios comerciales de MexGrocer.
 

Cuenta con una amplia experiencia laboral que abarca los sectores de ventas, operaciones, comercio minorista, ocio y entretenimiento. Mario nació en México y vive en el Reino Unido desde 1989.
