Korean Beef Tacos

Korean Beef Tacos East meets west in this taco recipe that combines Korean staples in a Mexican taco.

Ingredients
  • 500g beef frying steak, cut thin or pounded flat
  • 6 spring onions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, cut into thin sticks
  • 1 Chinese pear, pureed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp minced ginger
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp palm sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Kimchee
  • Salsa
  • Lettuce
  • Corn tortillas
Recipe
  1. Puree the pear, onion, garlic, ginger, soy, mirin, palm sugar, and sesame oil together to make a marinade.
  2. Marinade the beef.
  3. Stir fry the beef together with the carrots and spring onion.
  4. Serve in a corn tortilla topped with lettuce, kimchee, and your favourite salsa.
