Fritos Pie Fritos Classic Corn Chips are much more than just a bag of crisps, they can be used as an ingredient to make some unique recipes.

Ingredients

    • 200g leftover chilli
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 65g frozen corn, thawed
    • 32g yellow onion, finely chopped
    • 65g canned green chillies, drained and diced
    • 65g grated cheddar cheese

Recipe
  1. To make the crust:
    1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
    2. Using a food processor, grind the Fritos into a fine powder.
    3. In a bowl, mix together the Fritos powder, flour, and melted butter.
    4. Press into a pie dish to form the crust. Freeze for 10 minutes.
    5. Bake the crust for 12-18 minutes and leave to cool slightly before adding the filling.
  2. To make the pie:
    1. Adjust the oven temperature to 180°C.
    2. In a small bowl, combine the leftover chilli and egg.
    3. Pour the chilli into the cooled pie crust and layer on the corn, onions, and green chillies.
    4. Top with the cheddar cheese before baking for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Let the pie cool slightly before adding the layer of warmed refried beans.
  4. Make a lattice design with sour cream, and garnish with tomatoes, green onions, and more Fritos Original.
