Ancho Chilli Powder 100g 

Ancho chilli powder is made from dried ancho chillies, the dried form of the poblano pepper. It's one of the most commonly used chillies in Mexican cooking, valued for its rich, slightly sweet flavour with notes of dried fruit, cocoa and a gentle smoky finish. Despite its deep colour, ancho is mild and adds more flavour than heat.

It's commonly used in traditional recipes such as mole, enchilada sauce, adobo, chilli con carne and marinades, as well as seasoning for meats, vegetables and soups. A small amount goes a long way, adding depth and authentic Mexican flavour without making dishes overly spicy.
