Mole or mole sauce is a dark brown Mexican thick sauce made from dry chillies, nuts, spices, vegetables, chocolate and seasonings. Mole is one of the most representative dishes in Mexico, especially mole poblano, where the creation of this dish remains a little mystery. Thought to be created by a monk by accident or created by a nun for a feast with the available ingredients in the cupboard, both stories in Puebla. It takes a great deal of time to prepare and it is traditionally served with cooked turkey or chicken. Mole Poblano, Mole almendrado, Mole verde, Pipian and Adobo are some other variations of mole. This jar contains English cooking instructions and has a slightly richer flavour compared to our other Mole Sauces.
Storage:
Once opened, put it in an air tight container and keep in the fridge for up to one week. It can be kept in air tight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Mixture of chilies (mulato, ancho, morita,) sugar, sesame, peanuts, fried tortilla, crackers, chocolate, pumpkin seed, dried grape, salt, onion and garlic dehydrated anise, cinnamon, pepper, coriander seed, cumin, clove and vegetable oil.
