Burritos with Hot Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
- ½ kg (about 1.1 pounds) of ground pork
- 4 tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons of “El Yucateco” hot sauce
- ¼ cup of sour cream
- 1 cup of refried beans
- 1 cup of chopped lettuce
- Flour tortillas
Preparation:
- Boil three tomatoes in water for 10 minutes. Blend them with half of the onion, half of the garlic, and the oregano.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the remaining onion until translucent. Add the remaining garlic and fry for 2 minutes. Incorporate the ground pork and fry for 6 minutes. Then add the blended tomatoes and “El Yucateco” hot sauce. Mix well and let it cook over medium heat for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Dice the remaining tomato into small cubes, removing the seeds. Warm the flour tortillas and spread them with refried beans. Add the pork mixture, lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, a little more diced tomato, and “El Yucateco” hot sauce on top.
- Fold your burrito, and it's ready to serve.
